Credit & cash cards : To make a call employing a Credit / cash card, swipe the card through the card reader on the telephone and follow directions. If there isn't any card reader on the telephone, feel free to call 0800 032 0023 and follow the voice prompts to finish the call. Call costs - 20p per minute. Minimum charge £1.20 ( includes £1 connection charge ) for Local and National calls.Call 0800 661 610 for current costs for your call.

Text messaging is standard 160 characters including blank spaces ( as on all mobiles ). Coins Most payphones accept 10p, 20p, 50p & £1 coins and BT Chargecards. Some payphones accept £2 coins. Some payphones accept 50c, one EU Dollar and two EU Dollar coins.EU Dollar coins can only be utilised for directly dialled calls. The exchange rate is one Euro Buck = 60p. Payphones operate and display in £ Sterling. Please see the payphone display for details. Only new coins will be returned. For short calls please avoid using £1, £2 and two Euro dollar coins. Some payphones don't accept coins. These payphones accept BT Chargecard and Credit / ATM cards. This is obviously marked on these payphones. Catalog Enquiry Services Patrons can access a variety of List Enquiry services offered by a spread of service suppliers. The BT Payphones Directory Enquiry number is 118141 ( UK ) at 50p per minute ( minimum fee 60p ) for one number only no onward connect & no return to the Operator. 118141 is available only for money calls. There is not any access to 118141 from BT business & home lines or from other networks.
