BT CONTOUR 50 BT's starter level telephone. This is a refurbished item, and incorporates half a year guarantee. At £110, it is extremely good worth ; an identical model ( also renovated ) is sold by BT for just over £300 ( with VAT ).
FEATURES:
* Owner can make calls without money by utilizing a PIN number or the key.
* Money taken can be shown on LCD display ; since last empty and since telephone was installed. LCD also shows number dailled and quantity of money left as call moves forward.
* Thorough call barring facility. Twelve kinds of calls can be barred ( or unbarred ).
* Redial button for last number.
* Fake coins or tokens can be barred.Also old UK coins can be barred ( e.g. Old 50p ).
* Inbound calls can be barred.
* The ringer ( bell ) can be set to High, Low or OFF.
* You can set the telephone to withhold your number from folk you are calling.
* Identification tone can be set to off or on. This tone warns the operator on inward-bound calls it is a payphone and reverse charge calls won't be connected.
* Operator tone can be set to on or off. For outgoing calls this warns the operator it's a payphone and calls won't be connected or transferred thru the operator.
* The telephone has a privacy feature. This lets you set whether another telephone on the same line can overhear your call and whether the other telephone can take over the call.
* The telephone might be used on a phone system, or on BT featureline that needs an access code before dialling. This is often set so that the telephone dials the access code instantly or you can dial the access code by hand.
* You can reduce or increase the time you get for nine sorts of calls. You may also reduce or increase the minimum charge required to start a call to 10p, 20p, fifty or £1.
* New coins or tokens can be learned by the telephone - you can set the value of tokens.
* You can set exceptions to the dailling codes.E.g you might set a number beginning 01.. As a local call.
* Calls to List Inquiry numbers are set at a fixed fee. You can decrease or increase this amount. Or switch it off.
